Slatine is a small fishing and tourist settlement located in the northeastern part of the island of Čiovo, 8 km away from Trogir. It is situated on the shores of the Kaštela Bay, opposite Split and the Marjan Peninsula, which are located to the east of it.

The island of Čiovo is known for its rich vegetation, numerous islets and islands, as well as rocky and gravel beaches. In the vicinity of Slatine, the coastline is punctuated by countless coves, hills, gravel, and rocky beaches. The pine forests provide pleasant shade during the summer heat, and their shade creates suitable conditions for relaxation and bathing for families with young children, as well as for those who value peace and quiet.

During the summer season, the town is connected by a sea line from Slatine to Split, and throughout the year, buses operate from Slatine to Trogir and from Slatine to Split.
